Just returned from the town meeting re the proposed developments of housing & employment land in Ellesmere & surrounding villages. Great to see so many people taking an active interest in their communities and voicing their opinions to our council ( and good to see the council taking them on board)
And boy..was there some voicing!!
If you weren't at the meeting, you will be able to read about it in the paper. Heartfelt opinions, put across strongly, with especial emphasis on the proposed development on land by the Mere...hopefully it will not now be carried on with.

The meeting was a bit lively, but one opinion was clear. The proposed housing development at the north edge of the Mere must not be allowed to happen
