Several weeks ago, an elderly gentleman living close to the mere, went missing.
Michael Ashton is 81 years old, approx 6foot tall and slim . He appears to have walked out of his house with no money and no protective clothing. His family and neighbours are extremely worried about him
Despite enquiries and searches by police, rescue teams and helicopters, no trace of Michael has been found.
I am putting this out on the blog so that anyone who walks in the gardens, meadows and woods can look for anything unusual.- if you do, please phone the police immediately.
We all hope & pray that Michael is found safe and well but as of this morning there is still no news.
